5 more days

5 more days until my baby is 2. How is that possible? She has grown so quickly from being a tiny infant, dependent on me for everything, to a beautiful, sweet girl who has stolen my heart. There is no shortage of kisses. No shortage of hugs. No shortage of thank you's and smiles and "Love you, Mamas." There is no shortage of blessings in the form of the most loving little person I have ever met.

There's also no shortage of stubbornness. And I love every minute of it. A little glimmer of the strong woman she'll be.

I am so thankful for these 2 years that have gone so fast. Her Daddy taught her a happy birthday song the other day and it's definitely worth a look. Just like everything she does, it puts a smile on my face. :)

Sometimes I get so busy living life that I forget about my blog and updating it to save these memories. This month has clearly been one of those times, but just the same has been full of new explorations, a getting bigger girl and fun.

At the end of September, we took a family trip to Isle of Palms, SC. Though Lil deemed the sand still "yuck", she loved the pool.





She also developed a fascination for "futterflys".





But as always, the best part was uninterrupted time with both Mommy AND Daddy!






Other fun new things? Doing the splits...





And learning she's not so much fond of group photo sessions (Uncle Buddy's homecoming)...





...but is more than happy to have the spotlight when it's shining on her...





... And when ice cream sandwiches are involved, too!





More recent fall fun... Picking apples, playing "outside!!!!" all the time (especially when it includes "boots!!") and going to see Cousin Matt play football (and trying it out herself).










(Lily is OBSESSED with cats!!)




Last but not least, the football bug has bitten our house and Daddy will not let his little girl be left out.








And only 2 more weeks and our little girl will be---




Time flies when you're having fun!
